Introduction
 

 

Evolved for the road from a racing heritage, the VFR is renowned for its refined balance of explosive performance, superb comfort and agile handling. Its unique fuel-injected V4-VTEC engine delivers an even and accessible spread of power via a 2-stage valve actuation system. It rewards every riding style with swift response and strong acceleration. 

The engine’s considerable power is harnessed in a rigid and light-handling ‘Pivotless’ twin-spar aluminium frame. The engine is incorporated as a stressed member ensuring light, responsive handling, unaffected by rear wheel and swingarm stresses. The single-sided cast aluminium Pro-Arm swingarm is mounted directly to the rear of the engine cases and supported by a progressive Pro-Link rear suspension system that contributes to a smooth, comfortable ride.

High-speed control is supported by a sports-oriented Dual Combined Brake System. A Combined-ABS version is also available for extra confidence on any road*. 

The low, contoured VFR seat provides an easy reach to the ground and long-term touring comfort for rider and passenger. An easy-to-install rear solo seat cowl and pillion hand grips are standard equipment. A range of optional accessories is also available, developed by Honda Access. These include a tailor-made pannier set and top box and greatly expand the VFR’s touring potential.
