MOT at Honda of Bournemouth
Your motorcycle will need to be tested by an authorised MOT station when the vehicle is 3 years old and every 12 months there after. Honda of Bournemouth has been passed by VOSA to test two wheeled vehicles. The cost of the test is £29.20 as of 1st April 2009.
An MOT certificate confirms that at the time of the test, without dismantling, the vehicle met the minimum acceptable environmental and road safety standards required by law. It does not mean that the vehicle is roadworthy for the life of the certificate. The test does not cover the condition of the engine, clutch or gearbox.
Components of the motorcycle that are inspected during an MOT include:
- frame number
- frame
- registration plate
- lights
- steering and suspension
- wheels and tyres
- brakes
- fuel and exhaust system
- wheel alignment
